Moving forward, we will be rolling out individual features as they are completed, rather than following a phased approach. We appreciate your patience as we work diligently on this project.
Here’s a glimpse of what we have planned: #
1️⃣ Language Updates:
We will be changing additional language references across the site from Male (M)/Female (F) to Men (M)/Women (W).
2️⃣ Non-Binary Tab on Event Results Pages:
We will be adding a non-binary tab to the top performers/leaderboard section on event results pages for events with non-binary enabled.
3️⃣ Educational Resources for Race Directors (RDs):
We will be introducing educational resources in the new “Division Options” section within the event dashboard. These resources will provide support for RDs interested in providing a non-binary division.
4️⃣ Default Division Setting in Member Profiles:
We will be implementing a default division setting in member profiles. This functionality will give non-binary individuals the option to participate in either the men’s or women’s division if that is their preference, even if the event provides a non-binary option. (this was a specific request from competitive non-binary racers in the community)
5️⃣ Non-Binary Functionality in the Timing App:
We will be adding full non-binary functionality to the Timing App. This update will ensure accurate tracking of non-binary participants’ timing data.
6️⃣ Filter for Events Offering Non-Binary Divisions:
We will be introducing a filtering capability that allows users to search specifically for events offering non-binary divisions.
7️⃣ Additional Division Options:
We recognize the importance of expanding division options beyond gender. Therefore, we will be incorporating capabilities for more divisions, such as wheelchair or para divisions.
8️⃣ Runner Rank for Non-Binary Participants:
We are working towards building a runner ranking for non-binary divisions. Currently, non-binary results display 0% for overall and age ranking. We understand how much runners appreciate tracking their ranking, so we will work to get this feature out as soon as possible.
9️⃣ Division Placement for Non-Binary Runners:
We will be developing division placement for non-binary runners. Division placement and ranking could not be released in phase II, so we will work to get this out to the community as soon as possible.
We value your feedback and encourage you to share your thoughts and suggestions as we move forward with these updates. Keep an eye on our website as these changes will be gradually rolled out over time.
If you have any questions or require further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Happy running!
