How Do I Add Race Results from Non-UltraSignup Events?
Want to add results from a race that wasn’t hosted on UltraSignup? You can submit a request to load results from non-UltraSignup events so they appear on your profile. To do this, provide the event name, date, distance, and a link to the official results. Keep in mind that only official race results can be added, and processing times may vary.
How to Upload Missing Race Results to UltraSignup
If you're missing race results from an event and want to upload them to UltraSignup, here's a step-by-step guide:
1. Go to your Results Page
At the top of your result profile, click "Missing Results?" in the top left corner. You can also access our public results loader.
2. Provide Event Information
You will need to complete key event details, including:
- Country and State
- Is the Event in the List? If the event is not listed, choose "The event is not in this list."
- Event Name: Use the exact event name that was used in previous years. Incorrect names may cause the results to be rejected.
- Website: Add a website link to verify the event's legitimacy. This is required for us to confirm and validate the results.
- Date: Specify the year, month, and day of the event.
- Race Distances: Select the distances offered at the event on that date.
3. Prepare Your Results File (.csv Format)
To ensure your results are accepted, your CSV file must be properly formatted. (Related Guide: Formatting Result Files)
Required Headers: Your .csv file must include the following column headers, spelled exactly as shown:
- Place
- Time (or Distance for timed events)
- First
- Last
- Age
- Gender
Optional Columns: You can also include other columns, such as status for DNS (Did Not Start) or DNF (Did Not Finish).
If your CSV doesn't meet these formatting requirements, the results may be rejected.
4. Upload Your Results
Once your CSV is ready:
- Click "Upload Results."
- Select your file and review it. If the results don’t populate correctly or you see an error message, there may be a formatting issue with the file.
- After reviewing the data, click "Confirm Results."
5. Approval Process
Once submitted, UltraSignup will review the results. You will see a message saying "Thank you, we will review and contact you shortly." The results will show as "Pending" until approved.
The approval process may take a few days, but you can always contact UltraSignup to check the status of your submission.
By following these steps and ensuring your CSV is correctly formatted, you can successfully upload missing race results to UltraSignup. Be sure to review all instructions carefully to avoid delays in approval.
