How do I change my name on UltraSignup?
Need to update your last name on UltraSignup? You can do this by logging into your account, heading to ‘Edit Profile,’ and making the change. Right now, our system only allows last name edits when gender is set to female. First names can’t be changed at this time due to a system limitation, but we’re working on updates for the future. If you need help with a name change, reach out to support.
Updating Your Last Name
- Login: Access the UltraSignup platform and log in to your account.
- Navigate to Account Info: Once logged in, locate the account info menu.
- Access Profile Editing: Click on "Edit Profile" in the dropdown menu.
- Modify Last Name: Inside the profile editor, click into the last name field and update your last name.
- Save Changes: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Update" to save your changes.

- Name Recommendations:
- Avoid using nicknames or middle initials for your UltraSignup account to ensure accurate result tracking.
- Common Name Considerations:
- If you have a common name, be aware that results are categorized by first and last names, and you may see all runners with the same name on the page.
Where Did Your Results Go?
If your results disappear after a name change, submit a results merge request. Open your new results page, click "Name Change/Merge," select the appropriate option, and submit the request. Use the notes section to specify which results need to be moved.
The feature to edit and move or merge results is available exclusively on the desktop version of the website. Ensure you're using a desktop browser.
Processing Time: Allow 24 hours for the requested changes to be reflected.
