How to Block Registrants with the Blacklist Tool

Blocking Runners from Your Event

Sometimes it is just too risky to have someone participate in your event. Fortunately, we have a solution.

In order to block someone from registering, simply add their first name, last name, and date of birth (DOB). If you do not have these details, you may enter an email address, and we will try to locate them.

From your event page, select Tools and then USU Blacklist.

Step 1: Add Runner Information

You can either add the first name, last name, and DOB, or you can enter just the email address. Race directors often block both for more thorough coverage.

Step 2: Answer these questions:

1. Do you want to block them from a single event or all events in your group?
2. Reason for blocking?
3. Notes (these are for your records only).

View your blocked participants at the bottom of the page. You can release the block as needed.

***If you receive this message, it means we will not be able to block the participant: "Unable to block. This may be because we do not have a participant with that email, or they have used a variety of names and DOBs with that email."
