Using the Race Clock

the Race Clock feature in the UltraSignup Timing App is a great built-in tool if you don’t have a physical race clock at your event.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough:

• To access the race clock, click on the Menu icon in the top right corner of the app.
• Then, go to Tools and click on Race Clock.
• The race clock will show you a countdown to the event start time, and once the race begins, it will start counting up.
• If you have multiple distances with different start times, each distance will have its own clock displayed.
• You can also use this feature to display the race clock to participants and spectators by connecting your device to a larger screen. Just open the race clock on a separate device and cast it to the display.

Important Note:

This clock is a great substitute if you don’t have a dedicated race clock. However, remember that all devices used for timing should be configured properly, and the clock must be updated before the start of any participant recording.

Changing the Race Clock

Let's talk about adjusting the race clock, which might be necessary if your event starts later than planned or if there’s an unexpected delay.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough:

• To change the race start time, first navigate to either the Keypad View or the Bib Tap View in the app.
• You will see the start time displayed on the right side of the gray bar above your list of participants.
• If you need to update the time, click on the start time, and a modal will open.
• Here, you can adjust the day, month, year, and time for the event. It’s important to double-check all of these details to ensure accuracy.
• Once you've made your changes, click Update to save.

Important Note:

• Always make sure to adjust the race clock before you start recording participant times. If you modify the start time after you have already recorded runners, those recorded times will not automatically update. This could lead to inaccuracies in your race results.
