Delivering on one of the most requested RD features, we are excited to launch a new email communication tool. This tool allows you to build and save customized templates with flexible drag-and-drop content blocks to quickly create engaging, fully-branded emails. In this guide, you’ll learn the basics to design your next event communication.
How to Get There
Navigate to Tools Communications from your admin menu:
Make a Template Selection
The first page you land on is the template selector. You can use a default template or create your own. The template you select will be the foundation of your design.

Adding Content
After selecting a template, move on to the design step. Use content blocks to add and format text, upload images, and more.
The drag-and-drop editor lets you duplicate, delete, and rearrange content blocks to customize your communication’s look and feel.
Adding Text
To add text, drag-and-drop a text block into the message.
Type directly into the content block editing pane. Avoid copying from rich-text programs like Word, as they can add unwanted styling code. You have a collapsible editor above the content box as well as in the editor on the left.
Adding Additional Content
After adding the text, you can include images, menu options, buttons, and even custom code. You can duplicate and delete sections, create columns, and edit the mobile view of your email.
Save Your Template & Send Your Email
Pro Tips:
1. Save Your Work
Don't forget to save your work! Click "save template" to keep a copy of your email, allowing you to repurpose it in the future.
2. Communication History
Looking for your send history? Open any template, or click the "Add Details" tab at the top of the page and scroll to the bottom to see all communications sent in the current year.
3. Delete Old Templates
To remove old templates, open the template selector and click the red X next to the template you want to delete.
4. Send Communications to Previous Years
For recurring events, you can send communications to past attendees. Select your template, build your email, and use the dropdown in the top right to select a previous year.
