Creating a Relay Event #
On the UltraSignup homepage, click the orange “Host an Event” button under the revolving banner image. Simply move through the steps/pages, and answer the questions regarding your new event. For more details on requirements for creating a new event please see this guide.
After you enter your general event details, you will reach registration options:
For ‘type’ you will select ‘race registration’. Then you will see the question “Is this a relay?”
- Event Label: You will want to keep this label short and sweet. Long labels can exceed the space in the registration button, take up too much space in the banner area and impact mobile view, and can also affect the appearance of the start time box on the registration page if your events are starting at different times.
- Will the captain pay for the team?: You have the option of having the captain pay fees or having each team member pay fees. When the team captain pays the fees, you will need to set your registration fee at the total amount to be paid. If the members pay, you will need to divide the total fee by the number of members.
- Can you set up a relay event and also have solo distances? Yes, you will just continue to add distances, and do not select “yes” in response to the question “Is this a relay?”. You can add as many distances as you would like.
