Let’s talk refunds! We know you’ve got your event’s best interests at heart, and we’re here to help you make sure all your runners are on the same page. 🏃♀️🏃♂️
Why Implement a Refund Policy? #
Incorporating a refund policy within your event description and waiver ensures transparency. We understand that not everyone meticulously reads through waivers or event descriptions, so why not make this crucial information impossible to overlook? Some Race Directors (RDs) even integrate a multiple-choice question to ensure everyone’s on the same page. Here’s what you can do to enhance your event:
- Introduce a section in your waiver outlining individual registration cancellation and refund policies.
- Also, in your waiver define a policy for scenarios where the event itself is canceled. Will registration fees be refunded, rolled over, or non-refundable?
- Include this as an additional section on your registration page description.
- Integrate a question or acknowledgment for each detail that requires confirmation.

Why It Matters #
This clarity benefits both you and your runners. It’s no secret that refund questions pop up now and then. By giving runners a clear understanding of your policy, you’re saving yourself and your entrants some confusion.
How We Play a Part #
Having a solid refund policy also helps the UltraSignup Support team provide better assistance and can even prevent some of those pesky disputed charges. Because no one likes those surprises, right?
So, there you have it! Keep the lines of communication open, make sure your policy is out there for everyone to see, and keep the registration to race-day process as smooth as a well-groomed trail. 🌲👟
